The scientific leadership of the Chairs of Advanced Studies for Sovereignty has published an opinion piece on a decisive issue for Europe’s future: making sovereignty a genuine subject of research, analysis and action. In a context marked by growing critical dependencies, technological disruptions and geopolitical realignments, the article argues for a more rigorous, more structured and more strategic approach to sovereignty.

It highlights the urgency for Europe to accelerate research efforts in order to better understand its vulnerabilities, strengthen its capacity to anticipate change, and inform both public- and private-sector decision-making. The Chaires des Hautes Études pour la Souveraineté thus aim to help build a shared framework of reference in support of the strategic power and autonomy of France and Europe.
